WORKIN ON MY FITNESS

Jacket: Champion | Sports Bra: Champion | Leggings: Champion | Sneakers: Nike | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

I've found that it's way easier to wear workout clothes to school or just out and about, running errands than it is to wear anything else.  You don't have to try too hard because no matter what, it always come out having one look: sporty.  It just looks like you're coming from or going to the gym! Plus, it's that much easier to work out when I get home from wherever I've been because I don't need to change.  I'm already in my workout clothes!
Recently I went on a little activewear clothing haul at Target because I always pass their activewear department and they have THE CUTEST things.  Leggings, sports bras, so many cute and trendy designs and SO affordable.   I just love Target ::heart eyes::

I'm wearing a few of the things I got above and they're all linked (except for my sneakers, they're a little older and I couldn't find the exact pair, but I linked a super similar pair!)

Also, I'm definitely thinking about doing a fitness routine post soon.  I'm no expert but sharing what I do to try and stay fit and healthy might give some of you ideas or help you out in some way.  Let me know below if there's anything you think I should definitely touch on!

Hope you're all having a great week! :)

SPRING STYLE WITH THRED-UP

Top: Rebecca Taylor (The the same dress is available in purple! Similar styles here and here) | White Pants: Mossimo | Bag: Zara (Similar here and here) | Shoes: old via Nine West (Similar here) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Happy Spring!

It's finally here! Although we thought we were finally getting a taste of it here in New York, it's gone back to being a bit chilly. So even though we may all be super excited for little spring sun dresses and sandals, we're not quite there yet (at least not on the East Coast anyway.)

A fun way to start wearing all your pretty spring florals and short sundresses is to layer them. My favorite thing to layer with is, as you can see, jeans! White jeans or light wash blue, even distressed, jeans can look so cute under a short sundress because it makes the dress just look like a long top.
Another great way to layer with a sundress is to just add a long, heavy cardigan on top.
With Easter this week, this is such a great style because it lets you wear something that just screams spring while also being warm, plus you'll be nice and comfy in a loose dress (because who wears tight clothes to a family holiday get-together where there's a ton of F-O-O-D? Am i right or am i right?) The wedges could be switched out for some closed flats or flat sandals, too!

Now for some details... My Rebecca Taylor Dress is from Thred-Up. If you haven't heard of Thred-Up yet, it's pretty much just the best consignment/thrift store you've ever come across because:
a) it's online
b) almost all the items they carry are brand new and still have the original price tag on them!
Yes, like, have never even been worn before.
c) they carry just about everything; bags and shoes, too! Plus they have a huge selection of sizes
(kids clothes, too!)
d) And last, but not least, the prices are AMAZING.

After having heard about Thred-Up for the billionth time in one week, I knew I had to give it a try. Within 2 minutes of browsing the site I had 15 things in my shopping cart. The prices for the quality and brands they carry are too good!
One of the pieces I fell in absolute LOVE with was this Rebecca Taylor number. And I just could not believe the marked down price. On Thred-Up's site it said the original price tag was $199...the Thred-Up price was $43.99!!!!! Then when I received it in the mail and opened it up, the original price tag was still on it from Saks Off 5TH and that said that the original pricing had been marked down TO $199 from, get this... $399. Literally could not believe my eyes. The dress was originally $400 and I got it for $44!! That's almost 90% off!
That is the best shopping win of my entire life, all thanks to Thred-Up!

I got a couple of other pieces, too, which I'll be posting in the next few weeks so make sure to check back for them and definitely head over to Thred-Up to find some amazing deals of your own!

Have a great week and a wonderful Easter to all those celebrating this week! (I'll be celebrating Greek Easter, which falls on May 1st this year :)

THE WRAP DRESS

Wrap Dress: Karen Kane | Bag: A+ | Heels: BCBGeneration | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Earrings: Nordstrom

The wrap dress...

Always classic, always chic, always versatile.  The wrap dress should be an essential in every girls closet and here's why...

1.  Whether you choose to make it an investment or you find one on sale for $30 dollars at Marshall's (brava, brava), a wrap dress is always flattering on every body type because of the way it cinches in and ruches or ties at the waist, enhancing the natural feminine, hourglass figure.  The neckline of the a wrap dress also makes for a very flattering feature as it folds over and across the chest, dipping down but not too low.
2.  A wrap dress is so versatile.  You can dress it up with jewelry, dress it down with flats, or keep it simple with little to no accessories to let it do the talking all on it's own.  Plus, it's totally wearable in any season!
3.  A wrap dress exudes femininity and class, all while being chic and professional.  You can wear it to the office (a wrap dress is the perfect go-to for an interview!), to brunch with the girls, or to church on Sunday.
4.  They're quick and easy!  You're safe to travel with wrap dresses because they usually are made with the kind of material that doesn't wrinkle.  This Karen Kane wrap dress from Nordstrom is so soft and form fitting, and therefore SO comfortable (soft and comfy are my too favorite things when it comes to clothes so I'm obsessed.)  It was a bit of a splurge for me but so worth it because it's a staple that I'll get a ton of use out of.  It doesn't wrinkle and you can throw it in a suitcase or carry-on and not have to worry about it.  It's the perfect go-to because you know it will always look good, you'll always be comfy, and it's low maintenance!
5.  Wrap dresses come in so many different styles!  And they never go OUT of style (did you just hear T-Swift's voice in your head bc I did.)  Flowy or pencil skirt, pattern or plain, sleeves or sleeveless, there are a million and one different styles of wrap dresses and something for everyone!

I hope this post inspired you and let me know in the comments below if you're as obsessed with wrap dresses as I am!  Happy Monday and I hope you all have a great week! xo

SPRING IS IN THE AIR

Shirt: Merona | Jeans: Mossimo | Bag: A+ | Heels: BCBGeneration | Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Lipstick: Mac Ruby Woo

It's almost spring!
Lately, some days (definitely not everyday) have been feeling like spring.  The temperature is just slightly warmer, the birds are chirping, and there's a fresh scent in the air that just smells like spring.   And it is getting me so excited! I think spring is probably my favorite season.  Aside from the rain, it's such a beautiful and vibrant time of year!

I was in Target recently and they just have a so much light and pretty spring stuff, I went absolutely nuts! I've been looking for white jeans forever but I can never commit to a pair because they either too expensive or they just don't fit right.  These are jeggings so they're super comfortable and don't stretch out.  As soon as I found them I had no problem picking out a bunch of different tops to pair with them for some cute spring outfits. White jeans are such a great staple for spring and summer! My tunic top is also a great light summer top that you can dress up or down with some shorts and sandals.

Hope you enjoyed this first little peak of spring! Just a few more weeks until it's official and I can't wait for the all the fun spring outfits to come!
