Mosteiro De Santa Clara
"Nata" is the AMAZING cream that is in a lot of Portuguese pastries. So yes. The world does need nata.

Another statue of Athena! ;)
The day before the wedding, we spent the day in the city of Coimbra. Coimbra is absolutely beautiful. Exactly what you picture when you think of a Southern European city with narrow, winding streets and old buildings. So charming. And don't forget all the history the city holds. At the very top of the large hill that is Coimbra, is the University of Coimbra. This university is actually one of the oldest in the world, being founded in 1290 and situated in Coimbra permanently in 1537 (sorry this sounds like a history paper lol I just thought that was SO cool.) This university is even older than Harvard! The main square and it's view from the top were absolutely breathtaking. The pictures don't do it (or its scale) justice. *FUN FACT* Harry Potter scenes were shot in the University of Coimbra Library!!!! HOW. COOL.
That day the weather was crazy. It started out super clear and then it started to get cloudy, which I was a little disappointed about, but then the clouds made for some stunning views so it was totally worth it!
This was one of my favorite days we spent in Portugal and some of my favorite pictures I got!
