Hope everyone had an amazing 4th!  This is one of my favorite holidays because I just love how festive everyone gets, dressing up in our country's colors, and I just love the fact that it's summer and everyone's outside bbqing and going to the beach.  

Today we spent the day at the beach and then headed home, freshened up, and headed out for some fireworks and ices.  As we were driving home we saw a bunch of fireworks going off close by in one spot and it turned out they were literally like in the parking lot of my old high school, so we just drove over there real quick and it was awesome! Not only were there fireworks going off at all the houses around the school but you could see them all in the distance over the soccer field because of there was nothing tall enough to block our view.  It was just awesome.  

Anyway, hope you all enjoyed our country's birthday celebrations and had a wonderful day!

Recently I went to a bridal shower (my best friend's sister is getting married in less than a month!) and I wore this adorable little floral dress.  It was so comfy and I knew it was the dress to wear the second I put it on!  It just fell right and looked perfect on.  I think this a-line, fit and flare cut of dress is my favorite cut because it's always so flattering on almost every body type.  This dress is a great affordable summer dress that can be dressed up or down for any summer occasion.  Made my dress decision making that much easier!

I also apologize for how PALE my legs are but ya know, workin on it.  Thank God I'm wearing a long gown to the wedding lol.  (Should I just try a self tanner? Should I just hop on that bandwagon already? Does anyone know of any good ones that don't make you orange? Comment down below!!!!)

V-DAY INSPIRATION

Ok so I know I've been a little MIA lately but it's all good! Literally a week after my birthday I got a new job and life has just been a liiiiiitttle hectic since then but I'm back with some Valentine's Day inspo for you all! 

I think a small touch of pink is perfect for V-Day.  Just the right amount of subtle, light pink to add a bit of romance to an outfit.  I've been obsessed with this sweater coat since I got it.  It's hard to wear under a coat when it's really cold so I've been trying to wear it over heavy sweaters with scarves and such.  On the day we took these pics it was pretty warm out so I just put a plain ole white t-shirt underneath and kept it simple.  You will for SURE catch me wearing this on Valentines day and it's perfect for the end of winter/beginning of spring when it's still chilly out but now totally bitter!

To get snow on your birthday.  Well I got a full on winter wonderland on my birthday! And it was just magical.  I am taking that and running with it. 24, I'm really looking forward to spending more time with you.

These are some pictures I took on my birthday last week.  The snow was falling so peacefully and it was just so beautiful, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go out and snap some shots in it! Then I went inside, made some hot cocoa and sat by the window and watched the snow fall while I unfroze my extremities 😌 lol.

If you guys got snow wherever you are, I hope you stayed safe and warm, and got to enjoy how beautiful it was 😊

HERE'S TO 24

Today I am a whole year older.  Being 23 was full of ups and downs but they were all experiences and I think I earned something valuable from each of them.  So for that I am grateful.  

My hope for my 24th year of life is to have many more ups.  More growing, more exploring, and more learning. 

One of the little things I learned this past year was about my style.  I realized that my style is my own and never to compare myself to others, what they have, how they dress, or how they look.  I've learned that if I'm comfortable in what I'm wearing I can be more myself.
I found this dress a little bit before Christmas and it was just so comfortable and simple I knew I had to get it.  I love how it's just a cute little black dress that can be a staple but has a little something different going on in the arm detail. And I know that wherever I wear it I'll be comfortable and confident.

So, here's to 24! I have a really good feeling about this year...😌
