2 LAST MINUTE THANKSGIVING OUTFIT IDEAS

For all you procrastinators out there, all you ladies that are headed to someone's house for Thanksgiving tomorrow, and don't know what the hell you're gonna wear -  this one's for you!

I've put together two outfits with basic things that I already had in my closet and you probably do, too!

Outfit #1

Keep it simple and basic with this outfit because who doesn't have jeans and a basic white button down in their closet?   They're two versatile pieces that can be used and evolve from season to season.  To make the outfit a bit more fall, I wore brown riding boots (you could also do booties) and I added simple, dainty jewelry for just a touch of shine and delicate detail.  A white button down always looks so chic and paired with jeans you'll feel comfortable, casual, and stylish wherever spend Thanksgiving.

Outfit #2

Throw it back! Whip out those sundresses you wore all summer, you're not finished with them just yet!  Do you have any that have a pretty floral pattern or a chambray material?  Pair it with some riding boots and a long neutral colored cardigan and it's automatically a fall outfit.  Throw on some dark tights underneath if you want another layer just to keep warm, up to you! This is such a cute little outfit if you're going to someone else's house for the day because you'll be comfortable in a few light layers and you'll be a teeny bit dressed up with just the right amount of laid back casual-ness.

Hope this helped you out if you were still stressing about what to wear tomorrow!
I hope you all have a wonderfully delicious and cozy Thanksgiving with your loved ones.

A CLASSIC THANKSGIVING OUTFIT

Sweater | Jeans | Boots (similar) | Scarf | Bag (similar) | Watch | Sunglasses

I don't know about you but this weekend had me feeling SO festive! I am so ready for this holiday season.  I'm usually listening to Christmas music by like, the end of September but eh, this year I just wasn't that excited until a couple of weeks ago.  Maybe because it hasn't really been that cold out? Or maybe because this is the first time ever I'm not in school so it just kind of felt like the summer never ended.  But now it's cold out and I'm TOTALLY feeling it.  Christmas music all day long, hot chocolate at Starbucks, Christmasy candles, THE. WORKS.  And I can't wait until next Friday when my family actually starts letting me decorate for Christmas! If it were up to me, my house would have been decorated two weeks ago.

Anyway, it's story time.  So every year my local radio station starts playing Christmas music around the middle of November. Now it's Friday night and, at this point, I've already scoured the internet to see if I could find an exact date of just when the Christmas music starts (and of course I never do), so all November long I've been tuning in quick just to see if they're playing it and then I tune back out once I hear that no, they are not, and put back on my own music.  And I know, I could just stream Christmas music to my car on my own, but there's just something about it playing on the radio, ya know? Like THAT'S IT, it's now totally acceptable by society's standards to be totally, over the top in the Christmas spirit because the radio said so!!!!  So anyway, Friday evening I'm driving home with my mom and we stop at a light and I just think, hey let me turn on the radio and see, even though I had already checked earlier that day and nothing.  What made me tune in again to check? Well, I'm just about to change it and right at that exact moment the radio guy goes, "Aaanddd we'll be kicking off the holiday season with NON-STOP CHRISTMAS MUSIC at 5 o'clock, in just 17 minutes!!!" My mom thought I was having some weird sort of fit, I was SERIOUSLY?!?! I mean like, what are the odds?! That I tuned in at that exact moment?! I mean hey, I probably would have just checked the next day and figured it out then but it was just special.  A lil itty bitty Christmas miracle of sorts :)
Okay, I'm done being 5 now.  Onto my outfit.

When I think of Thanksgiving, I picture hanging out at home in a sweater, jeans, and socks, helping out in the kitchen or running out to the supermarket to pick up something last minute or hanging around the dining room table after dinner playing an intense game of monopoly with the family.  So Thanksgiving is just one of those holidays that has a cozy feel to me and I think jeans and a sweater say that perfectly.
Olive is just about my favorite color to wear and this sweater is so cozy and slouchy, it's perfect for Thanksgiving.  Throw a scarf on and some saddle boots if you're headed to someone else's house, and you have the perfect festive look for the day!  This sweater is so cozy and I'm wearing a medium but I could have sized up to a size large so that it could be a little slouchy.

Are you guys in the holiday mood yet?  Has your family let you decorate for Christmas?  Let me know in the comments below!  And don't forget to check back right before Thanksgiving this week, I'll be posting one more blog post with last minute ideas for Thanksgiving outfits!

THE CUTEST LITTLE DRESS FOR THANKSGIVING

Dress | Booties | Bag | Sunglasses | Tights in case you like the idea!

Thanksgiving is less than one week away and I'm scrambling around trying to decide what the best thing to wear will be!  Do I want to wear jeans and be super casual?  Do I want to wear a cute little dress and some tights?  Either way I think I'll be pretty comfy.

I'm seriously taken with this little black dress and all the little details on it!  I love how different it is and the fact that I found it in TARGET.  Plus, the price? I mean, you GO Target!  And I can totally see wearing this in the spring, too.
We took these pictures on a day when it was a little warmer so I went with no tights but now it's been getting way chillier here in New York so I'm thinking I would definitely wear it with some black tights and black booties.  You could even get away with some dark magenta or maroon tights! I think that would look so cute, too.

What are you all doing for Thanksgiving? How do you like to dress, comfy or dressy?  Answer in the comments below!
There will definitely be more one more Thanksgiving outfit coming in the next week so make sure to check back or subscribe to get my posts sent straight to your email :)

JUST ADD BOOTIES

I wore this top and this skirt all summer long.  They were two pieces I was obsessed with, both on their own and together.  One day when it was particularly warm a few days ago, I figured I could get away with it but I knew it just wouldn't look right wearing sandals at the end of October in New York.  So I was just about to nix the outfit thinking it was too summery, when it hit me: just add booties.  BAM.  It's a fall outfit! Add a scarf, jacket, or some tights if it's a little chillier and I can wear this outfit well up to Thanksgiving!

Look at your wardrobe.  Are there any outfits or items that you put away because you just didn't think you could get away with them in the fall?  Think twice!   One tiny aspect could change the entire look of an outfit.

Since all of these items are older pieces I linked really similar items I found and a bunch of other things I'm loving.  xo

TODAY'S WORKOUT 11/13

For the past few month's I've been really loving PopSugar's Fitness page on YouTube.  The videos are upbeat and fun, the instructors are clear, and the workout's are challenging.  They have videos that are all different lengths so depending on how much time I have that day I can do a 10 minute workout or a 40 minute workout.  Sometimes I'll switch it up and do like 3-4 10 minute cardio videos or 4 different 10 minute video's for arms, legs, and core.  It's great because I don't need to leave my house and it's like I have my own personal trainer that's switching it up for me everyday.

I had some time so I did four 10 minute video and it was a nice combo of cardio, arms, core, and lower body.  If you want to switch the lineup around you can do that.  You can also just do 1 or 2 video's or repeat just one a few times.  It's totally up to you!  That's why I'm obsessed with this channel!  I can fit my workout into my schedule and base it off what I'm feeling that day, and I always work up a good sweat doing them :)

Here are all the links for the workout's I did, in the order I did them:

WHAT I FEEL MOST CONFIDENT IN

Leggings | Top (Similar style!) | Jacket (Similar) | Shoes (Newer style) | Sunglasses | Watch

This outfit right here.  This is me.  My style changes.  I don't really have an aesthetic.  But if I had to choose one word to describe how I dress, it would be comfortable.  My style is comfortable.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't mean like walking out of the house in pajamas and Uggs.  I mean I like wearing clothing that fits me right, sits in the right places, doesn't bother me, doesn't dig into me, and doesn't have to be adjusted every 2 minutes.  I just feel the most confident when I am comfortable.  I like dressing in things that I can move in.  That's when I feel the most like me and that's when I feel the best.  When I can just stand up straight and know that I look clean, simple, and cute.  Whether I'm going to work, going on a run, or going out for the night, I always try to keep my outfit appropriate and comfortable, because I know if I'm not comfortable, I won't be my best, I won't do my best, and I won't enjoy anything.

So this outfit is totally my everyday go-to!  It's comfortable, its flattering on my body type, and I'm ready for anything the day holds.  Leggings (my favorite ones from Gap, they're thick and don't stretch out), a loose tee (I have too many to count), slip on sneakers (these are SO comfortable), and a light little jacket since it's been unseasonably warm here in NY.  I can't tell you how many combinations of this outfit I have worn, but it never lets me down! And don't worry I won't only be posting comfy outfits from now on ;)

What kind of outfit makes you feel the most confident?  What is your go-to outfit for feeling your best and doing your best everyday?
