FOUR EYES

Sweater: RD | Glasses: Forever 21 (and only $6) | Jeans: Urban Outfitters | Boots: old via - Similar style here | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs - Newest version here | Watch: Michael Kors

Happy Friday darlings!

I've been sporting these peepers for a few weeks now because I am loving this whole glasses trend that is going on right now.  Aside from helping you see (that's pretty important,) they are just such a great fashion accessory and can completely turn an outfit around.
When I got glasses in the third grade I literally remember thinking it was the worst thing in the world (and now looking back at pictures I can remember why.)  First chance I got in the 7th grade I was wearing contacts and I always have since.  I've gotten a few pairs of glasses over the years that I liked at first and would actually wear for a while but I always ended up going back to contacts.  So recently I went to the eye doctor and wanted to get new glasses that were trendy and fun but I felt like I would get sick of them after a few months, which would suck because glasses are SO expensive.  When I saw these in Forever 21 I just had to try them on and I am SO glad I did.  I think they are just so cute and give this outfit a totally different look! And the BEST part - they were only 6 dollars!! I mean, you can't beat that.  There is no commitment here, just a cute fashion statement piece, like wearing a chunky necklace or a pop of color on your lips. And I mean (aside from you all) who knows these aren't my real glasses?! It's a win all around.

This sweater has been my go-to lately because of how warm it is and the length.  It's perfect to wear with leggings and it's so cozy.  In case you haven't heard, the weather in New York has been pretty brutal but this sweater has definitely been a huge help and I'm so glad I got it before the storm hit!

Thanks so much for reading and hope you all have a great weekend!

Pearls...

Going out on a date, dinner with the girls, a family party, pearls are always the perfect classy touch to an outfit... especially when they're built into your sweater. I got this sweater as a gift for the holidays so I wore it a lot the week after New Year's for my birthday, a brunch and a few dinners and I got so many compliments on it because it's so flattering and of course, the pearl detailing.
Halogen seriously makes the most flattering and comfy sweaters, they're so soft and fit like a dream!  This style of sweater is one they really specialize in, I always see this cut in different colors and with different designs.  It's a great style of sweater to have your closet as a basic.  Pair it with some skinny jeans and a pair of your fave classic pumps and you have the perfect chic outfit.
Plus, this style of sweater is on sale in so many different colors and design options right now!  I linked them above and below so make sure to check that out! :)

Happy Tuesday beauties! xo

P.S. the lipgloss I'm using is NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Beige - not sticky or gloopy and smells so good, it's my fave!!

GRIDWORK

Cardigan: Sanctuary (40% off now) | T-Shirt: Caslon | Jeans: BDG | Booties: last season via Zara (Similar here!) | Gold Chain Necklace: H&M (Similar here!) | Sunglasses: old via Gucci (Similar here and here!) | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Investment and fashion...

Not usually two words you hear together but they go hand in hand.  Investing in some quality and versatile staple pieces of clothing is essential for a great wardrobe.  It's good to take your time and find pieces that you really love that can be used for several different kinds of outfits and that will never disappoint you.  Sometimes it may hurt a little to spend that extra money but if it's something you really love, it fits AND makes you feel great, and you know you can wear it a million different ways, then it's probably worth it.  Especially if something is on sale!

When I first saw this Sanctuary sweater cardigan on the hanger I wasn't quite sure about it but I tried it on anyway and I'm so glad!  It's the perfect business casual piece.  You can wear this to work, a business meeting, or out to dinner with some friends.  It's a really thick, warm knit and the sleeves aren't too tight, so it can be worn as a coat and the length is just perfect.  Right now it's marked down 40% and it's still a little pricey but for the quality and use I'll get out of it, it was so worth it.
I styled it really simple in all black and gold details (as always) to let the cardigan really stand out.

Hope you enjoyed this post and have a great weekend! :)

BOYFRIEND

Boyfriend Shirt: Caslon | Leggings: Gap | Wedge Booties: Gap (Similar Here!) | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Watch: Michael Kors | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

I got it from my...

Boyfriend.  Jk I got it from Nordstrom.  But isn't this boyfriend fit shirt so cute?  I love any shirt thats super baggy to pair with tight jeans or leggings, it just the perfect combo.  A nice quality boyfriend shirt fits well and is good to pair with just about anything.  It's great for all times of the year.  Now, during the winter, it's great to wear on it's own or layer under a sweater and have it peaking out.  This one is one of my favorite colors recently, olive, which is a great neutral.  This shirt is also super light (and soft!) so you can wear it closed or open with a tee shirt under neither.  It'll be perfect during the warmer months and I can't wait to start layering this over some sundresses or using it as a cover-up over a bathing suit with some shorts.  I'm even picturing it with denim shorts, a belt around my waist and some sandal wedges for a summer's night out ::heart-eyes emoji::

Now that I've listed every possible way to wear a boyfriend fit button-down shirt...lol don't you just want every single one you can get your hands on?! When your boyfriends and husbands start asking you where all of their shirts went, you can send them here.  I'll vouch for you.

Have a great week ;)

HUNTER SEASON

Coat: 1 Madison (Another very very similar here and similar here in green) | Boots: Hunter | Sweater: old via Forever 21 (Similar here!) | Leggings: Gap Factory

It's winter time and it's finally getting freezing which means its really the appropriate time to whip out our heavy coats and boots.

I have wanted a pair of Hunter Boots for the past few years but just never took the leap to buy a pair so when I unwrapped a box on Christmas morning and saw the logo I literally was jumping up and down squealing!  I put them on over my PJ's and was literally just hopping around in them, I was so happy *happy crying emoji* (special thanks to my bro and sis-in-law for reading my mind!) Christmas day and most of the days after were super warm but I didn't care, I literally wore them all day, everyday.  Then the past few days have been pretty cold and rainy so I finally have a legitimate reason to wear them!
Army green is also such a great and versatile color, it's the exact color I would have chosen to buy.  It's just neutral and goes with everything.  I know I'm going to get so much use out of these and I can't wait!

My coat probably looks very familiar...(see previous post Bundled.) I liked this coat so much and the price was so great that I actually went out and bought it in black (now me and mom are sharing them both haha.)  It is seriously the coziest warmest thing in the world, it's like walking around in a heated blanket but better.  Today was super cold and I wasn't even phased by it in this coat.  Again, obsessed.

Hope you enjoyed this post and had a great week! Happy Friday!

LEOPARD CHIC

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Cardigan: Gap Factory (Similar!) | Jeans: Gap Factory (Similar Here) | Wedge Booties: Gap Factory (Similar here and here) | Tank Top: Mossimo at Target | Bag: Patricia Nash (Sold Out - Similar) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

So a few weeks ago Gap Factory was having a sale and if you read my posts often you know I have a litttttle bit of an obsession with Gap Factory (um their leggings, I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it again, YOU NEED THEM) so I went a little nuts :) I bought three full outfits, like tops, pants and all.  And what's great about Gap Factory is that nothing is crazy or doesn't go with everything, all their items easily mix and match together.

Although this cardigan is leopard, it's somehow still neutral and goes with everything!  So I paired it with these super comfortable olive leggings (so stretchy and comfy but stay fitted and tight all day and do not stretch out!)

Now onto my favorite part of this outfit...my wedge booties.  These have to be the best fashion decision I've ever made.  (They may look a little worn-in in the pics but that's because I have been wearing them non-stop!)  They are so comfy and they just give you that height and make your legs looks sooooo thin and long no matter what you wear them with!  And I cannot stress this enough, they are so comfortable.  I wore them on my birthday the other night and we walked A LOT and I did not even feel the need to complain once about my feet hurting because they were seriously not hurting at all.  They are just all around great and I'm obsessed!!  You will definitely be seeing more of them on here. This exact pair is currently sold out but I linked a whole bunch of different options above and below for you all :)

Thanks for reading and thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes I received from everyone last week! You guys are the BEST and you made my day!!!! :D
